South Beach

You may have heard about many beaches all around the world. But, none of them are as aesthetic and charming than the South Beach. It is in the neighborhood of the Miami Beach of Florida. And probably no other sea beaches are as colorful as this. Also, it has a long and interesting history which increases its historical value and makes it as a tourist attraction. South Beach is situated at the south of the Indian creek.

From the history, we find that it was at first a farmland. It has been later developed by several men, like Lummus brothers, John Collins and Carl Fisher. They at first developed this land as the Town of Miami Beach in 1915. Later with the efforts of several millionaires and architectural revolution this town becomes renowned. After the attack of Pearl Harbor it goes under the command of air force. In 1926 most of its area was destroyed by Hurricane. And there are also many others interesting stories about this beach. But, now this place has been built as a place of entertainment and tourist attraction with hundreds of nightclubs, restaurants, boutiques and hotels.

Another interesting thing is its colorful lifeguard stands. Thousands of tourists came here every year from Europe and South American countries. This place is always occupied with tourists and locals for sunbathing, playing and hanging around. And the night is also colorful and spectacular for the tourists here. There are a lot of parks in the South Beach. Lummus park, Flamingo Park, South Pointe Park, South Beach Park, Washington Park and Collins Park. There is also a beach golf club named as Miami Beach Golf Club. Commercially the Lincoln road is the South Beach's premier shopping area. Other important areas includes, Ocean drive, Collins Avenue, Alton road etc. South Beach at night is a different situation. Lots of bars and night clubs are ready to assist you to spend your night with joy. But, it may sometimes become costly. And also it is true that South Beach is not a cheap area. You will get best service here but not for free.

With its charm, aesthetic areas and attractions this beach is now a leading tourist spot in the world. So, don't forget to pay a visit here when you have some time.
