How Does the South Beach Diet Work?

The South Beach Diet is all the rage as a lot of people are now becoming ardent followers of this dieting fad developed and created by Dr. Arthur Agatston in this side of Miami Florida. How does the South Beach diet work? The South beach diet comes in three different phases that a dieter should religiously adhere to in order to achieve weight loss in no time.

In phase one, also known as the breakdown of fat in the body; a person is prohibited from eating all carbohydrate rich foods that mainly includes the consumption of rice, pasta, and breads. Foods that are only allowed on this period of two weeks are protein rich foods. How does the South Beach diet work on this phase? The body will be forced to burn the stored fat since the main supply of carbohydrates is not present thereby producing an immense and significant weight loss in just two weeks.

The second phase of the diet does not set any Period of time, however, this is the moment you show your carbohydrate intake gradually and slowly in small quantities. That is until you've done to reach the desired weight. The final phase of South Beach Diet is the famous stage of maintenance. is allowed at this point, a diet, almost all foods which are prohibited in the last two phases have to eat, everything should be consumed in moderation.
